Make hearts with your pen and paper, and break them with the weight of words. Fill the air with lyrics that we never understood but always heard.
We've walked these roads before, enough to burn our footprints into the pavement floor. Floor on the gas pedal, we've got all the time in the world and more, but we know we'll try it just cause we can, and for all the trouble it could get us in.

So keep these secrets close, but I'll tell them once just to keep things rolling. Roll with the hits that knock us down, just one more kick to turn this around.

Even though I'll never get much out of paperback lovers and cold to the touch, it's still one chapter in this novel, don't choke on the make or breakers of the words that we spoke.

We know the stronghold's on its strongest guard, but the bombs we ignite destroy the strongest barge. I'm sure that kind of writing is an ace in the hole to captivate an audience with just the right note.
